We all remember feeling reluctant to leave a magnificent place — of finally turning and walking away, but stopping to look back one last time. Those are the places I sketch and paint. Many of my paintings are moments in familiar places that give me a deep sense of joy and peace. I bring the feel of those places back in my paintings.
